Forgotten masterpieces and a world premiere

On June 1, 2019, the Ciconia Consort played a special and exclusive program from The Hague, including compositions by the legendary conductors and icons of Dutch music history: Willem van Otterloo and Willem Mengelberg. They brought the Residentie Orkest and the Concertgebouw Orchestra respectively to great international heights in the 20th century. Ciconia Consort and the Netherlands Music Institute have removed unpublished manuscripts from the archive. These unique works are now published by Donemus.

– Willem van Otterloo (1907-1978) – Prelude, dance and epilogue for clarinet and string orchestra, soloist Hans Colbers
