Caitlin Ensor

Violinist Caitlin Ensor graduated from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Janet Krause and Jaring Walta. She is currently continuing her violin studies with Philippe Graffin at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. Caitlin took international master classes with renowned violin teachers such as Pavel Vernikov, Gerhard Schulz, Stephan Picard and Shmuel Ashkenasi. In addition, she immersed herself in Artistic Research during a Master’s study at the University of Amsterdam. This resulted in an exhibition where she presented ‘Speaking Walls’, a multimedia work of video, sound recording and performance.
Caitlin plays a lot of chamber music and collaborates with artists from various art genres. She is also interested in contemporary music and interdisciplinary projects. For example, she made the soundtrack for the short film ‘Siren Song’ by Lisandro Suriel, which was screened at the London Fashion Film Festival.
Caitlin plays an Italian violin from the 18
th century and a bow by Luis Morizot, Mirecourt 1950, donated to her by the National Musical Instruments Fund.
