Burcu Ramazanoglu
Turkish violinist Burcu Ramazanoğlu studied at Bilkent University in Ankara with Nil Cetiz. As an Erasmus student, during this Bachelor’s programme, she took lessons at the Conservatorio Superior de Musico in Vigo (Spain) with Mario Perez for six months. In 2016, Burcu moved to the Netherlands to study with Gordan Nikolic at Codarts in Rotterdam, where she obtained her Master’s degree in 2018.
She has attended masterclasses with Michael Ellison, Ulf Schneider, Gürer Aykal, Natanel Draiblate, New Hellenic Quartet and Mintcho Mintchev, among others.
Burcu played in the Greek-Turkish Youth Orchestra and the Turkish Union Orchestra, toured Europe with the Animato Philarmony and the World Youth Orchestra, and played in the World Piece Orchestra in the US, the Young Metropole (Netherlands), the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra and Bahçeşehir Chamber Orchestra (Turkey), and others. She also played under well-known conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Thierry Fisher and Vladimir Ashkenazy.
In recent years, Burcu has been concertmaster and soloist with the Valerius Student Orchestra, Batavian Symphony Orchestra and La tempesta Ensemble. She was a soloist in Fazıl Say’s violin concerto 1001 Nights in the Harem , which she also played at her Master’s Final Exam together with the Codarts Orchestra.
Burcu is also active as a violin teacher. She has taught violin at the Semih Arıkan Music School.
